Yacht Charter Denia — Your Own Boat, Your Own Day
Private Yacht Charter in Denia
One boat, one group, one day that belongs entirely to you.
A yacht charter in Denia is a private booking: the boat is yours for the day, along with the skipper who knows this coast. No shared decks, no fixed schedule. You decide when to swim, where to have lunch, and how long to sit at anchor watching the Montgo change colour as the afternoon goes on.
We charter from Marina de Denia, which handles vessels up to 60 metres and has held a Blue Flag every year since 2019. From there the whole Costa Blanca opens up: Les Rotes and Cova Tallada in minutes, the Cap de Sant Antoni marine reserve just around the headland, and the Javea calas — Portitxol, Barraca, Granadella — within an easy morning.
Yachts Available in Denia
Choose the boat that matches the day you have in mind.
Motor Yachts
The fastest way to cover this coast. Reach Javea, Moraira or Granadella and still have the whole day at anchor. Comfortable at speed, easy for guests who are new to boats.
From €800/day
Sailing Yachts
A real sail rather than a transfer. The Levante breeze fills in most summer afternoons and the run down toward the cape under sail is the best hour of the day.
From €400/day
Catamarans
Stable, roomy and shallow enough for the coves. The best choice for families, for anyone worried about seasickness, and for groups who want to spread out.
From €600/day
Luxury Yachts
Larger yachts with full crew, chef and water toys. For special occasions, corporate days and anyone who wants the Costa Blanca done properly.
From €1,500/day
Where Your Skipper Can Take You
Four routes we run from Denia. Every one is adjustable.
Half Day — Les Rotes & Cova Tallada
Out past the harbour wall to the rocky coast at Les Rotes, where the water goes glass-clear over the reef. Anchor where permitted, swim, snorkel the drop-offs, and see Cova Tallada — the sea cave cut into the base of the Montgo — from the water. Three to four hours, ideal for a first day afloat.
Full Day — The Javea Calas
Around Cap de Sant Antoni and down to Portitxol, Cala Barraca and Granadella — the turquoise, pine-backed coves this coast is famous for. Swim stops, a long lunch at anchor and a slow ride home with the afternoon breeze. Six to eight hours.
Sunset Cruise
Late-afternoon departure along the Montgo coast as the cliffs turn gold, a swim stop while the light drops, and drinks on deck for the sunset. Two to three hours and the easiest thing in the world to say yes to.
The Crossing to Ibiza
Denia is the closest mainland port to the Balearics — roughly 60 nautical miles to Ibiza. It is a genuine open-water passage that needs the right yacht, a proper weather window and an experienced skipper, and we only run it when all three line up. Ask us and we will tell you honestly whether your dates work.

Yacht Charter Denia — Frequently Asked Questions
The yacht is exclusively yours for the booked period, with a licensed skipper, fuel for the agreed route, your berth at Marina de Denia, safety equipment, insurance and snorkelling gear. Crewed yachts add a hostess or chef. Food, drink and optional extras are quoted separately so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
No. Every yacht charter we run in Denia comes with a professional skipper, so no licence or experience is required from you. If you hold a valid licence and want to take the helm yourself, bareboat charter is possible on certain boats — send us your certification and we will tell you which of the fleet you can take.
Capacity is set by the individual boat and its certification. Sailing yachts and smaller motor yachts typically take up to 10 to 12 guests for a day charter; catamarans are usually the roomiest for the same number; larger crewed yachts take more. Tell us your group size and we will only show you boats that legally and comfortably fit everyone.
Denia is the closest mainland port to the Balearics — around 60 nautical miles to Ibiza — so yes, it is genuinely within reach, and it is one of the reasons people charter here. But it is open-water sailing, not a coastal hop: it needs a suitable yacht, an experienced skipper and a settled weather window, and it usually makes sense as an overnight or multi-day charter rather than a day trip. Ask us with your dates and we will give you a straight answer.
At Marina de Denia, the main marina in town, which takes vessels up to 60 metres and has held a Blue Flag every year since 2019. It has parking, fuel and 24-hour staff, and it is a short walk from the old town. You will get the exact pontoon and berth number with your booking confirmation. It is roughly 100 km from Valencia airport and 103 km from Alicante airport.
The waters around Cap de Sant Antoni are a protected marine reserve, and the rules are strict for good reason: anchoring is prohibited, there is a 6-knot speed limit, and scuba diving needs prior authorisation from the regional authority. Our skippers use the authorised ecological mooring buoys and keep to the limits. It means a slower, quieter visit — which, given the posidonia meadows and the submerged caves down there, is exactly how it should be seen.
The skipper makes the call, and safety comes before the schedule. If the forecast makes the day unsafe or simply unpleasant, we offer you an alternative date or a full refund. Sometimes the answer is a modified route rather than a cancellation — this coast has enough shelter that a bad wind direction usually just means a different, equally good day.
June to October, when the sea holds above 20°C and peaks around 26°C in August. June and September are our favourites: the water is warm, the coves are calmer, and there is more choice of boats. The Levante is the most frequent wind from May to October and builds a dependable afternoon breeze — perfect if you are on a sailing yacht.
