Out on the water Barcelona's noise rules still apply, and they are measured cleverly: not at your speaker but at the nearest apartment façade, which is why the skipper manages volume when you are close off Barceloneta and lets it breathe further out. Fines for breaches start in the thousands, so the skipper's word on volume is final. In practice no hen party has ever found the workable volume quiet.

Yes. Bring the cava, the tinto de verano, whatever the bride drinks — we provide coolers, ice and glassware, and the bigger packages include an open bar. The port's own regulations contain no alcohol restrictions at all, and the city's street-drinking rules are written for public spaces, not a private vessel under way. Our only house rules: keep glass to a minimum on a barefoot deck, and the skipper can slow anyone down who needs slowing — the same as any good venue.

Yes — offshore, which is where a boat swims anyway, and here is the honest picture nobody else prints. Of Barcelona's nine city beaches, seven are officially rated Excellent and two — Barceloneta and Sant Miquel — sit a grade lower at Good, because heavy rain can flush the city's storm drains towards the shoreline there. That is a beach-edge problem, not an open-water one: your swim stop is anchored off the beaches in deeper water, well away from the outfalls. Up to 12 guests on a standard charter — that is a Spanish maritime threshold, not our preference, and crew do not count towards it, so you never lose seats to the people running the boat. Hen parties of thirteen to twenty-four usually run two boats in convoy along the front, which groups tend to love — races to the swim stop settle themselves. June to September is the swimming season — the official bathing season runs 1 June to 30 September, and the sea off Barceloneta averages 21 °C in June, rising to 24 °C in August. Within any summer day there is a real choice: mornings bring the glassiest water, because the Garbí — the afternoon sea breeze — typically builds from around one o'clock; evenings bring the golden light on the city. Brides who want the calm swim book mornings; brides who want the photographs book evenings. July is also the driest month of the Barcelona year, if you are picking dates from abroad.

Bring all of it. There is no rule against cake, decorations, sashes, veils or an inflatable of questionable taste — this is operator policy, not law, and our policy is that it is the bride's day. The basilica stands well back in the city grid with higher ground between it and the sea, so it does not appear on the waterfront skyline.
