From Marina Greenwich (Puerto Deportivo Luis Campomanes) in Altea, about 11 km up the coast — not from Benidorm itself. Benidorm's harbour is a small club port that only berths boats up to 8 metres, so no charter boat can physically operate from it. A taxi gets you there easily, we send the exact meeting point when you book, and the marina has 24-hour staff, so nobody gets lost. Build a spare fifteen minutes into the plan and it is a non-issue.

The '12 passengers' figure you may have seen is a threshold in Spanish shipping rules — carry more than twelve and a vessel has to be certified as a passenger ship — not some special party-boat limit, and crew do not count against it. Yes to both. Bring your own bottles and use the iced coolers on board, or ask us to stock the boat before you arrive. Decorations are included in every package — tell us the bride's colours and we will have the boat dressed before you see it, and you are welcome to add your own. Two house rules: keep glass to a minimum, and anything you stick to the boat has to come off again without a trace.

No — and we would rather tell you that than sell you a postcard that does not exist. Benidorm's bay faces southwest and the sun goes down over land, behind the Sierra Cortina hills, slipping out of sight a little before the published sunset time. What actually happens at golden hour is arguably better: the light floods the whole high-rise skyline and the towers glow gold above the bay. It is the one sight no other town on this coast can offer, and it photographs beautifully from the water.

In high summer it almost never does — July averages just 4 mm of rain at the nearest official weather station, August barely more. September and October carry more risk, when the western Mediterranean gets its short, violent downpours. It is the easterly wind, and it is the one thing that genuinely spoils a sea day here — not because of its strength, but because of the swell it builds. The regional emergency service's own guidance says exactly that: in a levante the problem is the state of the sea. The good news is the bay's geometry: the Poniente side is sheltered from easterly swell, and Cala del Mal Pas, tucked behind the old town headland, is the calmest water in town. The skipper reads the day and adjusts the route — and if it is not safe or not fun, we call it and rebook you.

June to September is the heart of it — hot, dry and reliable. The fiesta calendar is worth knowing when you pick a weekend: Fogueres de Sant Joan runs 19–24 June with beach bonfires (which Benidorm, unlike some neighbouring cities, still permits) and huge crowds on the sand, and the Virgen del Carmen festivities in mid-July include a sea procession across the bay with a 21-gun salute. Those weeks are brilliant fun ashore but book earlier and cost more. May and October are quieter and gentler on the budget.

Genuinely, yes — November here is a real micro-season, driven largely by British visitors. The Fiestas Mayores Patronales run 6–11 November 2026, and the day after them, Thursday 12 November, comes the famous Fancy Dress Party around Calle Gerona and British Square, with crowds in the tens of thousands. The sea is cool by then and it is more a deck-party cruise than a swim day, but pairing a boat afternoon with the fancy dress night makes a hen weekend nobody else in the group chat will have thought of.

No. Every hen party charter comes with a professional skipper, and on the bigger boats crew as well — nobody in your group is responsible for driving anything. Worth knowing anyway: from 1 October 2026 Spanish law tightens the rules on renting motorboats without a licence, so the days of the unskippered bargain rental are ending. On a skippered charter none of that touches you; your only job is the playlist.
