Where a private boat trip in Mallorca takes you
Half days in the bay, full days to the islands, and the whole boat to yourselves.
A private boat trip in Mallorca puts Dragonera, Cabrera, Es Trenc and the Tramuntana coast in front of your own deck, and we have plenty of boats at every price to take you there: sailing boats from about €445 a summer day, motorboats from about €520, catamarans from about €980 and motor yachts from about €2,860. Your group, your route, your music.
Start from the right port and the great trips come within easy reach. Dragonera is about 4 nautical miles (NM) from Port d'Andratx, and Cabrera about 10 NM from Colònia de Sant Jordi. From Palma the bay fills a perfect half day: a swim off the ladder, lunch at anchor, the cathedral on the way home. A 20-knot motorboat also turns Cabrera, about 28 NM out, into a full day of about 90 minutes each way.
Tell us the date, group size and port. Within 2 hours in business hours you have prices and available boats, free and with no obligation. The skipper is included, nobody needs a licence and the whole boat is yours, so there are no strangers and no seats to buy.
Which boat suits which day
Summer prices for the whole boat, matched to the trip each type does best.
| Boat | Price | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Sailing boat | From about €445 a day | The bay under sail, or a long day from a closer port. Quiet, unhurried and the cheapest way to have a whole boat. |
| RIB | From about €490 a day | Quick hops along one stretch of coast, with the wind in your hair and a swim at every stop. |
| Motorboat | From about €520 a day | The one for Dragonera or Cabrera from Palma. Near 20 knots, the far stops come within a day out. |
| Catamaran | From about €980 a day | Room for a group to spread out, swim and eat, on a deck that stays level at anchor. |
| Motor yacht | From about €2,860 a day | Your day out with shade, comfort and range to spare. Cabrera and the west coast both sit within reach. |

Where a private day can go
Distances are approximate, and your skipper fits the route to the wind on the day.
Palma bay
A boat trip from Palma fits here in half a day: the cathedral and old town from the water, then swim stops around the bay. It's the easiest great day on the island, and you can be back in the city for dinner.
Dragonera from Andratx
The long island off the west coast, about 4 NM from Port d'Andratx and 0.8 NM from Sant Elm, across a channel 800 to 1,500 m wide. Guests can step ashore from a private boat at Cala Cucó or Cala Llebeig for a swim from the rocks and coves.
Cabrera National Park
An archipelago of 90,794 hectares, nearly all of it sea. It's about 10 NM from Colònia de Sant Jordi and 28 NM from Palma. Your skipper handles the free navigation permit and takes a day buoy at Es Burrí, sa Coveta Roja or el Port, and you land by tender at the piers.
Es Trenc
A long beach on the south coast, inside a maritime-terrestrial natural park near Colònia de Sant Jordi. It shares a coast with the Cabrera run, so a full day from Palma can take in that whole southern shore.
The Tramuntana coast and Sóller
The big one: a full day from Port d'Andratx, about 27 NM, roughly 1 hour 20 each way at 20 knots. Or board at Port de Sóller itself, with 465 berths and charter among its services, and have the Tramuntana right outside the harbour.
Alcúdia and Formentor
A boat trip from Alcúdia works the bays of Alcúdia and Pollença from Alcudiamar, with a bookable buoy field at Formentor. Go for swimming and the morning light, and let the skipper pick the calmest corner.
Cala d'Or and Portocolom
East-coast days from these two ports are all about the coves, with Cala Varques one of the names you'll hear. Short runs and plenty of swimming. Pick a second stop for lunch and let the skipper take you there.
Cala Ratjada
Boat tours from Cala Ratjada are a favourite German search. Say you're staying there, and the replies tell you where your private boat boards.
Group days and boat parties in Mallorca
Your own boat and your own crowd, for birthdays, stags, hens and family days.
Birthday, stag, hen or a family day out: hire a whole boat for up to 12 guests, with your own playlist, swim stops and lunch at anchor. Nobody else comes aboard, so the party is exactly as loud or as lazy as you want it. Got a bigger group? Book a second boat and meet up on the water.
Music days work best heading out to open water. Boats from Club de Mar, Puerto Portals or Port Adriano have the coves and the sea ahead of them, well away from the Magaluf and Playa de Palma shoreline, and your skipper plots the route around the swim stops you want.
Save Cabrera for your quiet day: it's a national park, and the silence is the point. Food and drinks are simple to sort too. Say what you have in mind in your request, and your offer shows what's possible on board.
Good to know
Cabrera runs on a free permit
Your skipper handles the park's navigation permit and moors on a day buoy, open from an hour after sunrise until an hour before sunset. You step ashore at the main pier in el Port or at Cas Pagès, by tender.
Your skipper reads the day
Wind, sea and free buoys shape the route, so your skipper chooses clear sand or a buoy and always has a second stop ready. You stay in charge of the mood.
Whole boat, up to 12 guests
Every trip here is the entire boat for your group, never a seat among strangers. Boats carry up to 12 guests with crew on top, so large groups take two.
Sunset and the best months
Want the sun to drop into open sea? Head west. Off Port Adriano, Port d'Andratx and Port de Sóller the line is open water from May to mid-September, and off Colònia de Sant Jordi it's clear in August and September. Palma evenings have their own magic: the city and its lights coming on at dusk, seen from your own deck.
May to September is prime time, with August averaging a high of 29.8 °C at Palma's port and days long enough for a swim, lunch and sunset in one outing. Prices ease outside summer, so a shoulder-season date can buy you a bigger boat for the same money.
