Jetski Rental Valencia — Ride the Mediterranean
Jetski in Valencia — From Quick Blast to Coastal Tour
Marina Real Juan Carlos I is the perfect base for jetski adventures.
Few things beat the feeling of opening the throttle on a jetski over flat Mediterranean water. Our fleet of new Yamaha and Sea-Doo PWCs is maintained to the highest standard, each rated up to 110 kW. We launch from Marina Real Juan Carlos I — minutes from Valencia city centre — and offer everything from a 30-minute taste to half-day guided tours up the coast.
If you have a Spanish or international boat licence, you can take a jetski out solo. If not, no problem: we offer guided tours where one of our instructors leads a small group, and you ride your own machine with full freedom — Spanish law allows this without a licence under rental supervision.
Do I Need a Licence? Short Answer: No.
Riding a jetski in Spain without a licence is legal under specific conditions.
Under Spanish law (regulated by the Ministerio de Transportes), jetskis can be rented without a licence in two specific modes: hourly rentals and guided group excursions. The engine power for unlicensed riders is capped at 60 CV (44 kW), and you must be at least 18 (or 16 with written parental consent). All our rentals include a comprehensive 30-minute safety briefing on the dock.
If you want to take a more powerful jetski, ride solo without an instructor, or rent for more than 4 hours, you will need a licence. The fastest option is our 4-hour practical PWC licence course (Licencia de Navegación), which we can run on the same day as your rental.

What Riders Are Saying
Recent feedback from our jetski rentals.
Booked the 2-hour guided tour for my stag do (6 of us). Instructor took us up the coast at a pace that suited everyone — beginners stayed safe, the rest of us got to open the throttle. Highlight of the trip.

First time on a jetski. The 30-min briefing was thorough, I felt confident immediately. We were 2 on one machine, swapped halfway through the hour, both got proper riding time.

Excellent kit, modern Yamaha jetskis. The marina exit can be tricky but the instructor led us through clearly. Photo stops at La Malvarrosa were a great touch.

Jetski Rental Valencia — FAQ
Correct, for short rentals (up to 4 hours) and guided tours, Spanish law allows you to ride without a licence as long as the jetski has under 60 CV (44 kW) and you complete our safety briefing. This is the rental supervision modality regulated by the Ministerio de Transportes. If you want to ride more powerful machines or rent for longer, you will need a licence — see our PWC licence course.
18 years old to drive solo, or 16 with written parental consent. Children from 12 years can ride pillion with a parent or instructor. We have child-sized life jackets.
Our 60-CV rental machines top out at around 65 km/h (40 mph). More than enough for thrill-seekers, but capped by the engine for safety. Licence holders can rent our 110-kW machines that exceed 100 km/h.
Yes. All our jetskis are 2-seaters with a 3-person capacity rating (combined weight under 240 kg). You can swap drivers during your rental — popular for 1-hour bookings.
The kill cord on your wrist immediately cuts the engine. The jetski floats and waits for you. You climb back on from the rear, restart, and continue. Our instructors demonstrate this exact procedure in the briefing — it is straightforward.
For solo rentals, you stay within the designated jetski zone (an area roughly 500 m to 2 NM offshore between Las Arenas and El Saler). For guided tours, the instructor leads you further along the coast. Inside the marina, speed is limited to 3 knots.
Yes. Fuel is included in all our rental prices. The 60-CV machines typically use under 10 litres per hour at cruising speed, comfortably within the included allowance.
We monitor sea state continuously. If swells exceed 1 metre or winds 18 knots, we reschedule or refund. Valencia has very stable summer weather and cancellations are uncommon May to October.
